The PANDUIT F92EPKELESEM008 is an OS2 single-mode duplex fiber optic patch cable designed for structured cabling and data communication applications. Built with a 1.6mm diameter cable and terminated with LC connectors on both ends, this patch cord carries optical signals over long distances with low insertion loss. The OFNP (Optical Fiber Nonconductive Plenum) rating qualifies it for installation in air-handling plenum spaces where fire and smoke spread codes apply. Licensed electricians and low-voltage cabling technicians are the primary installers of this type of patch cord.
This patch cable is suited for use in enterprise network infrastructure, data centers, telecommunications rooms, and commercial building structured cabling installations. OS2 single-mode fiber supports high-bandwidth, long-distance transmission, making it appropriate for backbone runs and connections between network equipment such as switches, routers, and fiber distribution panels. The duplex configuration carries bidirectional signals over two fibers simultaneously.
Designed as an OEM-style patch cord for use with LC-port fiber optic equipment, patch panels, and fiber distribution units in OS2 single-mode structured cabling systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or structured cabling technician in accordance with NEC Article 770 and applicable local codes. Power down connected network equipment before disconnecting or installing fiber patch cords to avoid interruption to live circuits. Avoid bending the cable tighter than the minimum bend radius during routing, and do not remove dust caps until the moment of connection to protect the polished end faces.
