The PANDUIT F92EPKEKESEM002 is an OS2 single-mode duplex fiber optic patch cable designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and enterprise environments. Built with a 1.6mm cord diameter and terminated with LC connectors on both ends, this cable carries optical signals over OS2 single-mode fiber across two strands. The OFNP plenum-rated jacket meets fire resistance requirements for installation in air-handling spaces and plenum ceilings. Network technicians and low-voltage cabling contractors install this type of patch cord to interconnect switches, patch panels, media converters, and fiber-enabled equipment in data centers and telecommunications rooms.
This patch cable is suited for horizontal and backbone runs in plenum-rated spaces where fire code compliance is required. The OS2 single-mode fiber type supports long-distance, high-bandwidth transmission, making it appropriate for inter-building backbone connections, campus networks, and data center cross-connects. The LC form factor is widely used in high-density patching environments where space at the port is limited. Installation is typically performed by low-voltage cabling contractors or licensed network infrastructure technicians following TIA-568 structured cabling standards.
Designed as an OEM-style patch cord for use with LC-compatible single-mode fiber ports in structured cabling systems, patch panels, switches, and media converters rated for OS2 single-mode fiber.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage cabling technician familiar with TIA-568 fiber optic standards. Power down or disable the optical transceiver port before connecting or disconnecting fiber patch cords to avoid exposure to laser light. Do not exceed the minimum bend radius of the cable during routing, and avoid sharp bends or kinks that can increase insertion loss. Plenum-rated cables must be installed in accordance with local fire codes and the National Electrical Code (NEC) for plenum air-handling spaces.
