The PANDUIT F923RSNSNSNM040 is an OS2 single-mode duplex fiber optic patch cable terminated with SC connectors on both ends. Constructed with a 3mm jacketed cable and polished PC (Physical Contact) ferrules, this patch cable is rated OFNR (Optical Fiber Nonconductive Riser) for in-building riser pathway installations. With a 40-meter length, it is suited for structured cabling runs between network hardware, patch panels, and active equipment in data centers, telecom rooms, and enterprise network environments. Licensed network technicians and low-voltage cabling professionals are the primary installers of this type of assembly.
This cable is intended for single-mode OS2 fiber optic infrastructure in commercial and enterprise settings. The duplex SC-to-SC configuration supports full-duplex data transmission, making it appropriate for Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet links, SAN connectivity, and similar high-bandwidth applications. The OFNR jacket rating allows installation in riser spaces between floors within a building without the need for additional conduit in most code-compliant scenarios.
Designed as an OEM-style patch cable for use with SC-port fiber optic equipment, patch panels, and wall plates in OS2 single-mode structured cabling systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage or fiber optic cabling technician familiar with TIA-568 standards. Power down active equipment before connecting or disconnecting fiber patch cables to prevent eye hazards from live laser sources. Inspect and clean SC ferrules before mating to avoid contamination-related signal loss. Avoid bending the cable below the minimum bend radius during routing to prevent attenuation or fiber damage.
