The PANDUIT F923LANSNSNM042 is an OS2 singlemode duplex fiber optic patch cable designed for low-loss, high-bandwidth structured cabling applications. Built with a 3mm LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) outer jacket, it connects SC APC (angled physical contact) to SC connectors in a 2-fiber configuration. The LSZH jacket reduces toxic smoke and halogen gas emissions in enclosed or plenum-adjacent spaces, making it well-suited for data centers, telecommunications rooms, and commercial network installations. Licensed network technicians and structured cabling professionals are the primary installers of this cable.
This patch cable is used in OS2 singlemode fiber runs where low insertion loss and precise angular polish on the source-end connector are required. The SC APC connector reduces back reflection, making it appropriate for passive optical network (PON) infrastructures, fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) distribution frames, and high-sensitivity transceiver applications. The duplex 2-fiber layout supports full-duplex transmit and receive paths in a single cable assembly.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard patch assembly for OS2 singlemode fiber infrastructure using SC APC and SC bulkhead adapters in structured cabling panels and fiber distribution units.
Installation should be performed by a qualified structured cabling or network technician familiar with fiber optic handling procedures. Always inspect and clean connectors with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before mating to avoid contamination-related insertion loss. Avoid bending the cable below its minimum bend radius, and do not pull by the connector boots when routing. Verify that the SC APC end is oriented to the correct APC-keyed adapter, as mating an APC connector to a non-APC adapter will cause elevated return loss and potential equipment damage.
