The PANDUIT F92-38-L is a no-sleeve ferrule rated for 300 Kcmil conductors, designed to terminate large-gauge stranded wire in panel boards, switchgear, and industrial control enclosures. Ferrules of this type mechanically consolidate individual conductor strands into a uniform, solid-profile termination before insertion into a terminal block or lug. This prevents strand splaying and reduces contact resistance at the connection point. Licensed electricians and panel builders install this type of hardware during new construction wiring, retrofits, and equipment commissioning work where reliable large-conductor terminations are required.
This ferrule is suited for use in high-ampacity commercial and industrial electrical installations where 300 Kcmil conductors require a clean, code-acceptable termination. Typical applications include main distribution panels, motor control centers, bus bar connections, and large drive or transformer terminations. The no-sleeve design means the ferrule body alone provides the conductor consolidation without an additional insulating collar, which is a common choice when terminal blocks or lugs do not require or accommodate a sleeved ferrule profile.
Designed as an OEM-style termination ferrule for use with 300 Kcmil stranded conductors in large-gauge terminal block and lug applications.
Installation of large-conductor ferrules should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before stripping conductors or installing ferrules. Use a calibrated crimping tool sized for 300 Kcmil ferrules to achieve a proper, gas-tight crimp. Do not attempt to seat the ferrule in a terminal without crimping, as an uncrimped ferrule can loosen under vibration or thermal cycling.
