The PANDUIT dnf14-250-m is a nylon-insulated female disconnect terminal designed for reliable electrical connections in demanding environments. Part of the Pan-Term disconnect series, it features a funnel entry barrel with internal wire stop to ensure correct wire insertion depth, reducing the chance of incomplete crimps. Barrel serrations grip the wire strands firmly, maximizing tensile strength and electrical contact. A metal insulation grip sleeve crimps over the wire insulation, protecting the crimp joint against fatigue and loosening in high-vibration applications. Rated to 300 volts and sized for 16 to 14 AWG wire, this terminal is suited for panel wiring, control cabinets, and equipment harness builds.
These female disconnects are used in residential, commercial, and light industrial wiring applications where a secure, removable tab connection is required. Typical installations include motor control panels, HVAC equipment wiring harnesses, electrical enclosures, and appliance wiring. The blue nylon insulation sleeve identifies the 16-14 AWG wire range at a glance, consistent with standard color-coding conventions used across the trade. Sold in quantities of 1000 pieces, this package is well suited for production wiring shops and field service contractors who install terminals in volume.
Designed for use with 16 to 14 AWG copper conductors. Accepts standard 0.250-inch tab male disconnect terminals.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified technicians using a ratchet-style or calibrated crimp tool appropriate for insulated disconnect terminals. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating any conductors, following applicable NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements. Insert the stripped wire fully until it contacts the internal wire stop before crimping. Do not use pliers or non-rated tools in place of a proper crimping tool, as under-crimped connections may fail mechanically or electrically under load or vibration.
