The PANASONIC fv-0511vksl3 is a multi-speed ceiling-mount exhaust fan with integrated LED lighting, designed for residential ventilation in bathrooms, laundry rooms, sunrooms, basements, and garages. Powered by an ECM motor, it runs continuously at a low speed to maintain fresh air circulation and ramps up to a higher speed when triggered by a switch or sensor, then automatically returns to low speed after a user-set delay. Maximum airflow is 110 CFM, with mid and low settings at 80 and 50 CFM respectively. The unit is ENERGY STAR qualified and meets ASHRAE performance standards at 0.5 inches water gauge static pressure. Licensed HVAC or electrical contractors typically handle installation.
The fv-0511vksl3 is suited for residential applications where continuous low-level ventilation is required alongside on-demand higher airflow. Common install locations include bathrooms, laundry rooms, sunrooms, basements, and garages. The fan accepts 4-inch or 6-inch duct connections, giving installers flexibility for both new construction and retrofit jobs. Up to two add-on modules can be installed, including a WiFi module, Smart Action Motion Sensor, and Condensation Sensor, making this unit adaptable to automated ventilation strategies.
Designed for residential ceiling-mount ventilation applications accepting 4-inch or 6-inch round duct connections. Compatible with optional WhisperGreen Select add-on modules including WiFi, Smart Action Motion Sensor, and Condensation Sensor (modules sold separately).
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or HVAC technician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. Shut off power at the breaker before beginning any wiring or mounting work. The Flex-Z Fast bracket system allows ceiling installation without attic access, but confirm joist spacing and ceiling material can support the unit before mounting. Duct connections should be sealed with foil tape to maintain rated airflow performance.
