The Oxbox J962V100DU5SA is a two-stage, upflow and horizontal gas furnace rated at 100,000 BTU input with 96% AFUE efficiency. Designed for residential forced-air heating systems, this furnace uses a dual-stage gas valve to modulate heat output between low and high fire, reducing temperature swings and improving comfort in the occupied space. The 96% AFUE rating means 96 cents of every fuel dollar converts to usable heat, a meaningful efficiency gain over standard 80% units. An ECM blower motor further reduces electrical consumption during fan operation. Licensed HVAC technicians perform installation and commissioning.
The J962V100DU5SA is designed for residential split-system applications where both cooling and heating are required from a single air handler cabinet. It is commonly installed in upflow or horizontal-right and horizontal-left configurations depending on closet or utility room orientation. This furnace is frequently paired with a split-system air conditioner and cased evaporator coil to form a complete comfort system, as seen in Oxbox system bundles including the J5AC5048A1000AA condenser and J5MXCD010AC6HCA evaporator coil.
Confirmed for use in Oxbox split-system configurations including pairing with the J5AC5048A1000AA air conditioner and J5MXCD010AC6HCA evaporator coil, as well as the J5AC5036A1000AA condenser with corresponding coil assemblies. Designed as an OEM-style residential gas furnace replacement within the Oxbox product line.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes, the National Fuel Gas Code (NFPA 54), and the manufacturer installation instructions. Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power before servicing or replacing any furnace components. Low-voltage thermostat wiring and high-voltage line connections must be made per applicable NEC requirements. Do not operate the furnace without verifying venting configuration and gas supply pressure are within the specifications stated in the unit installation manual.
