The Oxbox J5PG4030A1060A is a 2.5-ton gas/electric packaged unit designed for year-round heating and cooling in a single, self-contained outdoor cabinet. It delivers 60,000 BTU of single-stage gas heating and operates at 13.4 SEER2 for cooling efficiency. The unit uses R-454B refrigerant, a lower global-warming-potential alternative to legacy refrigerants, aligning with current environmental standards. Rated at 208/230 volts, single-phase, 60 Hz, it integrates all heating and cooling components into one chassis, reducing field labor and simplifying the refrigerant circuit compared to split-system installations. Licensed HVAC technicians handle installation and commissioning.
The J5PG4030A1060A is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a separate indoor air handler or furnace is not practical or desired. The all-in-one outdoor design is commonly installed on rooftop curbs or ground pads with ducted supply and return connections. It accepts either bottom or side air return configurations, giving installers flexibility on retrofit and new-construction jobs. This unit is appropriate for spaces that match the capacity range of a 2.5-ton system.
Designed for use as a stand-alone packaged gas/electric system in residential and light commercial ducted applications. Specific matched-system compatibility should be confirmed against current Oxbox engineering literature and local equipment schedules before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local mechanical codes, the National Fuel Gas Code (NFPA 54), and the manufacturer installation guide. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power and shut off the gas supply before servicing or making connections. Verify that the duct system, electrical service, and gas supply line are sized correctly for the unit before startup. R-454B requires EPA Section 608-certified technicians for refrigerant handling.
