The Owens Corning FS5550BK is a polyethylene foam sill sealer supplied as a roll 5.5 in. wide by 50 ft. long with a nominal thickness of 3/16 in. It serves as a compressible gasket to fill the gap between the sill plate and foundation, reducing drafts and air leakage, resisting moisture transfer into the wooden structure, and acting as a barrier to insects for new and retrofit construction. It installs without special tools.
