The OSRAM LU250/ECO is a 250-watt high pressure sodium (HPS) lamp designed for commercial and industrial lighting applications. Built to the T14.5 shape designation with an E39 mogul base, it delivers an initial output of 26,000 lumens and a mean output of 24,400 lumens at a correlated color temperature of 2100 K. The lamp carries an ANSI code of S50/O, making it compatible with standard S50-rated HPS ballasts. Rated for 30,000 hours of service life and engineered as a lead-free design, the LU250/ECO is intended for installation by licensed electricians and qualified lighting maintenance technicians in high-demand fixture environments.
This lamp is suited for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications including high bay and low bay industrial fixtures, architectural and canopy lighting, floodlights, roadway cobra head fixtures, and wall mount luminaires. Its universal operating position allows installation at any burning angle without performance penalty. The clear color finish and 9.75-inch overall length are consistent with standard retrofit and replacement scenarios in existing HPS fixture housings.
Compatible with ANSI S50/O-rated HPS ballasts. Suitable for architectural, canopy, floodlight, high bay, industrial, low bay, and roadway cobra head and wall mount fixtures accepting an E39 mogul base and a 250-watt HPS source.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified lighting maintenance technician. De-energize the fixture and allow the existing lamp to cool fully before handling, as HPS lamps operate at high internal pressure and elevated surface temperatures. The E39 mogul base must be fully seated and locked into the socket before re-energizing. Verify that the existing ballast carries the ANSI S50/O rating before installing this lamp; mismatched ballasts will affect lamp performance and life.
