The OSRAM FBO32/741/6/ECO is a 32-watt T8 U-bent fluorescent lamp designed for recessed luminaire applications in commercial and institutional lighting systems. Built on the Octron 700 platform with rare earth phosphor technology, this lamp delivers an initial output of 2850 lumens at 25 degrees C and a mean output of 2475 lumens over its rated 20,000-hour life. The instant/programmed rapid start design supports fast, reliable ignition and is optimally paired with OSRAM QUICKTRONIC ballasts. A medium bi-pin base and 6-inch leg spacing make it a standard fit for U-bent troffer fixtures. Licensed electricians and lighting maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
This lamp is suited for recessed troffer fixtures in offices, schools, retail environments, and other commercial spaces requiring cool white illumination. The 4100K color temperature and 78 CRI deliver neutral, accurate light rendering appropriate for task and ambient lighting. With a nominal length of 22.5 inches and a maximum overall length of 23 inches, the FBO32/741/6/ECO fits standard 2x2 and select 2x4 recessed luminaire housings designed for U-bent T8 lamps with 6-inch leg spacing. The lamp meets TCLP standards and is lead-free and RoHS compliant, supporting disposal and environmental compliance requirements on commercial projects.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for T8 U-bent fluorescent lamp positions in recessed luminaire fixtures requiring a medium bi-pin base and 6-inch leg spacing. Optimally paired with OSRAM QUICKTRONIC ballasts supporting the QUICK 60+ system.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or trained lighting maintenance technician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. Always de-energize the fixture and verify power is off at the circuit breaker before removing the existing lamp or accessing ballast wiring. Confirm ballast compatibility and rated lamp type before installing. Handle the glass envelope carefully to avoid contamination or breakage, which can affect lumen output and lamp life.
