The OSG VGM5-1160 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Part of the VGM5-LN series, it features a 3/4-inch mill diameter, a 0.02-inch corner radius, and 5 flutes with a right-hand spiral and variable index geometry. The EXO coating provides enhanced wear resistance and heat management at the cutting edge. At 4 inches overall length with a 15/16-inch length of cut, this is a single-end, short-length tool built for both roughing and finishing passes on CNC machining centers. It is center-cutting and extended-reach capable.

This end mill is engineered for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is suited for mold and die work, aerospace component machining, and general precision part production where a clean corner radius and consistent tool life are required. The straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance mounts directly into standard toolholders used in vertical and horizontal machining centers. Normal pitch flute geometry supports chip evacuation across a range of cutting depths and feed rates.

Installation Notes
