The OSG VGM5-0145 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal removal and finishing in demanding machining applications. It features a 1/2 inch mill diameter, a 0.09 inch corner radius, and five flutes with a right-hand spiral and right-hand cut direction. The tool carries an EXO proprietary coating for extended wear resistance and thermal protection. Variable index geometry reduces chatter and vibration during aggressive cuts. At 3 inches overall length with a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, it fits standard toolholders used on CNC machining centers and manual mills.

This end mill is built for roughing and finishing operations on a wide range of difficult materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is a single-end, center-cutting tool, making it capable of plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling. The straight cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance fits precision collet chucks and end mill holders.
