The OSG VGM5-0111 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. It features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 0.02 inch corner radius, and five flutes configured for both roughing and finishing operations in a single pass. The EXO coating extends tool life when cutting ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. A high helix angle combined with a variable index geometry helps reduce chatter and improve surface finish. This tool is intended for use in CNC machining centers with appropriate toolholders.
The VGM5-0111 is engineered for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its 1-1/8 inch length of cut and 3 inch overall length suit it to a wide range of pocketing, profiling, and contouring operations in both production and job-shop settings. The right-hand cutting direction and straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard collet and hydraulic toolholders. It is a single-end tool suited to applications where tool life, repeatability, and surface integrity are priorities.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Confirm the toolholder bore and collet size match the 3/8 inch shank diameter before seating the tool. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specifications and do not exceed the tool's stated length of cut when programming axial depth of cut.
