The OSG VG434-3753 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built on OSG's VG434 series platform, it features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter with a 0.06 inch corner radius and four flutes ground from micrograin carbide stock. A TiAlN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. The single-end, centercutting design supports both plunge entry and peripheral cutting. This tool is suited for roughing and finishing operations across a range of ferrous and hard materials and is sized for use with standard straight-bore toolholders.
The VG434-3753 is intended for CNC milling centers handling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The 7/8 inch length of cut and 2.5 inch overall length make it a compact, rigid option for cavity milling, contouring, and profiling passes where corner geometry control is critical. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard. This tool fits production and job-shop environments where tight tolerances and surface finish requirements must be met simultaneously without switching between roughing and finishing tools.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, S, H).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the toolholder bore is clean and free of debris before seating the shank, and verify runout with a dial indicator before committing to production cuts. Machine spindle must be at a full stop before tool changes. Follow the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material and do not exceed the rated depth of cut for the flute length.
