The OSG HP434-4721 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding material applications. Built to HP434 series specifications, it features a 12 mm cutting diameter, a 1 mm corner radius, and a 26 mm length of cut. The 4-flute geometry combined with a TiAlN PVD coating supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. The 30-degree medium helix promotes chip evacuation while maintaining edge stability. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and tooling professionals working in CNC machining centers and milling operations across a broad range of workpiece materials.
The HP434-4721 is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry, making it effective in slot milling, pocket milling, and contouring operations. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 12 mm diameter and h6 tolerance shank fits standard toolholders commonly used in production and job shop environments. The regular length type and single-end configuration make it a practical choice for everyday milling setups where consistent edge geometry and coating durability are required.
Designed for use with standard cylindrical-bore toolholders accepting a 12 mm straight shank with h6 tolerance. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the end mill. Confirm shank seating depth and runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Follow shop safety procedures and applicable OSHA standards when operating CNC milling equipment.
