The OSG HP434-3930 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in a wide range of metalworking applications. It features a 10 mm cutting diameter, a 0.5 mm corner radius, and four flutes with a right-hand spiral and medium helix for balanced chip evacuation and surface finish. The tool carries a TiAlN (PVD) coating, which extends tool life in demanding cutting environments by improving heat resistance and reducing friction. With an overall length of 100 mm and a 22 mm length of cut, this end mill suits both roughing and finishing operations. It is centercutting and uses a straight-cylindrical shank for direct mounting in standard toolholders.
The HP434-3930 is engineered for use on CNC machining centers and milling machines in job shops, aerospace, automotive, and general metalworking environments. Its broad material compatibility covers steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The corner radius geometry reduces edge chipping, making it a reliable choice when machining interrupted cuts or transitioning between floor and wall features. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in production or prototype environments are the primary users of this tool.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 10 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Compatible with primary workpiece materials coded P (steel), M (stainless steel), K (cast iron), N (non-ferrous metal), S (superalloys and titanium), and H (hard material) per ISO material classification. Part of the OSG HP434 series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup personnel. Ensure the toolholder and spindle are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as excessive runout accelerates wear on a 4-flute geometry. Power down and lock out the spindle before any tool change per standard machine safety procedures.
