The OSG HP434-3152 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. It features an 8 mm cutting diameter, a 1.5 mm corner radius, and four flutes with a right-hand spiral and medium helix angle. The tool carries a TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) PVD coating, which improves heat resistance and extends tool life when cutting at elevated surface speeds. At 100 mm overall length with a 19 mm length of cut, this single-end, centercutting tool handles both roughing and finishing passes. It is intended for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines with a compatible toolholder.
The HP434-3152 is engineered for a broad range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its corner radius geometry reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, making it well suited for mold and die work, aerospace component machining, and general precision milling where sharp corner chipping is a concern. The straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance fits standard collet and shrink-fit toolholders accepting an 8 mm shank.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting an 8 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Part of the OSG HP434 series, rated for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S, H).
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle at a complete stop and all machine power locked out per applicable shop safety procedures. Verify toolholder bore cleanliness and runout before securing; excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Confirm correct collet size or shrink-fit bore of 8 mm before assembly. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's recommended clamping torque range for this shank diameter.
