The OSG HP434-3151 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. It features an 8 mm cutting diameter with a 1 mm corner radius, a 19 mm length of cut, and a 4-flute right-hand spiral geometry suited for both roughing and finishing operations. The tool is coated with TiAlN via a PVD process, providing elevated heat resistance and extended tool life at higher cutting speeds. A straight-cylindrical 8 mm shank fits standard toolholders, and the 100 mm overall length accommodates a wide range of setups. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and tooling technicians on CNC milling equipment.
The HP434-3151 is engineered for use across a broad range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is appropriate for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup, making it well suited for job shops, production machining, die and mold work, and aerospace component machining where tool versatility across material types is required. The center-cutting design allows plunge entry, adding flexibility in toolpath programming.
Designed for use with standard cylindrical-bore toolholders accepting an 8 mm straight shank. Part of the OSG HP434 series, engineered for CNC milling applications across steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S, H).
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician on CNC milling equipment. Confirm the toolholder bore and collet size match the 8 mm shank diameter and adhere to shank diameter tolerance class h6 before seating. Power down and lock out the spindle before installing or removing the tool. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended runout tolerance for the toolholder, as excess runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling.
