The OSG HP434-1962 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill from the HP434 series, designed for high-performance milling across a broad range of workpiece materials. It features a 5 mm cutting diameter with a 1 mm corner radius, a 13 mm length of cut, and a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank. The 80 mm overall length and 4-flute geometry with a 30-degree medium helix make it well-suited for both roughing and finishing operations. A TiAlN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in demanding cutting conditions. This end mill is centercutting and runs right-hand cutting and flute direction. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install it with a standard toolholder.
The HP434-1962 is rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H. The 1 mm corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, making this tool appropriate for profiling, slotting, and finishing passes where sharp corners are undesirable. The normal pitch and spiral flute type support consistent chip evacuation. It is a single-end tool intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with a compatible toolholder.
The HP434-1962 is compatible with standard toolholders accepting a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank. It is part of the OSG HP434 series and is designed for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines where a corner radius end mill with TiAlN coating is specified for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, or hard material applications.
This end mill is installed by a qualified machinist or tool-and-die technician using a toolholder matched to the 6 mm shank diameter. Verify runout after installation to maintain dimensional accuracy within the stated mill diameter tolerance. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speed and feed parameters for the workpiece material being cut.
