The OSG HP434-1577 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding production environments. With a 4 mm cutting diameter, 1 mm corner radius, and four flutes, it delivers a blend of material removal efficiency and surface finish quality in a single tool. The TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) PVD coating extends tool life by resisting heat and wear at elevated cutting speeds. At 70 mm overall length with an 11 mm length of cut and a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank, this is a compact, rigid tool suited for die-and-mold work, aerospace components, and precision machined parts. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install and run this tool in standard toolholders.
This end mill is rated for roughing and finishing operations across a broad range of workpiece materials. Its centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, and the right-hand spiral flute design with medium helix promotes chip evacuation and stable cutting action. Typical applications include profiling, slotting, and contouring in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where corner integrity and dimensional accuracy are critical requirements.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore CNC toolholders accepting a 6 mm shank. Rated for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S, H).
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the CNC control in a safe state. Verify the toolholder bore and collet size match the 6 mm shank diameter before clamping. Use a torque wrench appropriate to the toolholder manufacturer specification when securing set screws or collet nuts. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or wear before each setup, as carbide tools are brittle and should not be used if edge damage is visible.
