The OSG HP434-1576 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling across a wide range of workpiece materials. It features a 4 mm cutting diameter, a 0.5 mm corner radius, and four flutes with a 30-degree medium helix for balanced chip evacuation and surface finish. The cutting edge is single-end and centercutting, allowing plunge entry as well as peripheral and axial cuts. A TiAlN (PVD) coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in demanding applications including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys. This tool is sized for use in toolholders with a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank and is suited for both roughing and finishing operations.
The HP434-1576 is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where tight corner radii and precise dimensional control are required. Its 11 mm length of cut and 70 mm overall length position it as a regular-reach tool appropriate for standard cavity, profile, and contour work. The TiAlN coating and solid carbide substrate make it well suited for dry or near-dry cutting in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Machinists and tooling specialists working in job shops, production machining, and aerospace or medical part manufacturing are the primary users of this series.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank with h6 shank diameter tolerance. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (material codes P, M, K, N, S, H).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is properly torqued to manufacturer specifications before beginning any setup. Verify runout at the shank and cutting diameter after clamping, as excessive runout accelerates wear on small-diameter carbide tools. Confirm that programmed speeds and feeds are appropriate for the workpiece material and the 4 mm cutting diameter before initiating a cut.
