The OSG HP433-1577 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. It features a 4 mm cutting diameter, a 1 mm corner radius, and a 6 mm length of cut, making it well suited for finishing and semi-finishing operations where edge integrity and surface quality matter. The TiAlN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting at elevated speeds. At 70 mm overall length with a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank, it mounts directly into a standard toolholder and is compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills alike. Two right-hand spiral flutes with a medium helix angle promote chip evacuation and reduce cutting forces across a wide range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is engineered for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its stub length type and extended reach design suit applications where access to recessed pockets or walls with tight clearances is required. The center-cutting geometry allows direct plunge entry, and the coarse pitch supports roughing material removal rates. It is intended for use with a toolholder and is appropriate for production shop environments where consistent tool performance across multiple materials is required.
Designed for use with a standard toolholder on CNC or manual milling equipment. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as noted in the OSG HP433 series specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Secure the 6 mm shank in a compatible toolholder to the specified torque per the toolholder manufacturer's guidelines. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
