The OSG HP421-1772 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. Built on the HP421 series platform, it features a 0.1772 inch (4.50 mm) cutting diameter with a 0.5512 inch (14.00 mm) length of cut and a 35-degree helix angle. The spiral flute geometry and micrograin carbide substrate support stable, consistent chip evacuation at elevated feed rates. A TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and hardened materials. This end mill is suited for use by machinists and CNC operators in job shop, production, and tool room applications.

The HP421-1772 is a centercutting, right-hand cut, right-hand flute end mill with two flutes. The 5.00 mm shank diameter and 51.00 mm overall length make it compatible with standard collet and end mill holder systems. It is well suited for slot milling, peripheral profiling, and plunge entry operations in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials. The two-flute design provides ample chip clearance for applications where chip packing is a concern, such as slotting in softer alloys.
