The bit is manufactured from XPM high-speed steel with a coated finish to extend tool life and reduce friction under load. A 130-degree drill point angle and x-thinned web geometry improve penetration and reduce thrust in hard ferrous materials. Install in a drill press, CNC machining center, or automatic screw machine using a chuck or collet sized for a 4.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Ensure the workpiece is securely fixtured and the machine spindle is at a full stop before changing bits. No coolant-through capability is present on this bit, so apply cutting fluid externally when drilling harder alloys to manage heat buildup. Inspect the cutting edges and web condition before each use and replace the bit when point geometry shows wear to maintain dimensional accuracy.
