The OSG 907-3750 is a single-cut carbide abrasive bur with a tapered cone (SL-3) head profile, designed for material removal, deburring, and surface finishing in metalworking applications. The bur features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 1/4 inch shank, and an overall length of 2 inches, with a length of cut measuring 1.0625 inches. Built from uncoated carbide, it is suited for high-speed rotary tool use up to 63,000 RPM. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die workers, and metal fabricators are the primary installers and users of this type of tooling.
This abrasive bur is intended for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, as well as other hard materials. The SL-3 taper geometry and single-cut tooth style make it well suited for contouring, chamfering, and deburring in tight or angled cavities. Typical applications include weld cleanup, port matching, mold and die work, and precision material removal where a controlled, clean cut is required on ferrous and exotic metals.
Designed for use with standard 1/4 inch collet die grinders and rotary tools; suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium per the SL-3 industry specification.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or metal fabricators familiar with rotary cutting tools. Ensure the die grinder or rotary tool is powered off and the collet is fully seated and tightened before use. Never exceed the rated maximum RPM of 63,000, as overspeeding carbide burs can cause tool failure. Always wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable shop safety standards when operating abrasive burs.
