Product Description

The OSG 90100311 is a solid carbide ball end mill engineered for high-performance milling in hardened steels above 55 Rc, cast iron, and hard materials. Built on OSG's Series 9010 Exocarbmax platform, this tool features a 1/16 inch cutting diameter with a 3/32 inch length of cut and five flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle. The WXS PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in demanding metal-removal operations. At 2 inches overall length with a 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank, this stub-length mill fits standard collet chucks and tool holders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills.

This end mill is suited for finish and roughing passes in steel, cast iron, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. Its stub-length design improves rigidity, making it appropriate for tight-tolerance work in die and mold applications, aerospace components, and precision machining of hardened workpieces. The ultra-fine micrograin carbide substrate supports the tool geometry needed for small-diameter work at elevated surface footage. Installation Notes
