Built from solid carbide with an EgiAs multi-layer finish, it delivers extended tool life and thermal resistance compared to HSS alternatives. The 140-degree split point with R-thinning reduces entry thrust and promotes self-centering without a center punch. At 11.30 mm (0.4449 inches) in diameter with a 118.00 mm overall length, this bit is designed for machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and CNC operators working production or precision drilling applications.
This drill bit is suited for blind hole drilling, cross hole drilling, through-hole drilling, and self-centering applications. It performs in steel, alloy steel, and cast iron. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports adequate chip evacuation in moderate-depth holes without through-coolant. It is a solid choice for manual drill press, VMC, or HMC setups where rigidity and dimensional accuracy matter.
Designed as an OEM-specification OSG Series 6310 jobber-length drill bit for machining steel, alloy steel, and cast iron workpieces. Fits standard 12.00 mm straight-shank collets and drill chucks.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with carbide tooling. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully within the collet or chuck to the recommended engagement depth before operation. Carbide is brittle — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts without proper feed rate adjustment, and thermal shock from intermittent coolant application. Confirm spindle runout is within acceptable tolerance before use to prevent premature edge chipping.
