The OSG 8595095 is a screw machine length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in a range of metallic workpiece materials. Built from high speed steel with a coated finish, this bit features a 150-degree faceted drill point and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces cutting resistance at entry. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 3.00 millimeters in diameter, and the overall length of 38.00 millimeters makes this a compact, stub-length tool suited for close-quarter drilling operations. With a flute-to-diameter ratio of 5xD and two spiral flutes in a regular spiral pattern, chip evacuation remains consistent throughout the cut. It is sold individually.
This bit is designed for use in screw machine operations, CNC drilling centers, and drill press applications where a shorter, more rigid tool is preferred over jobber-length alternatives. It is appropriate for production environments drilling steel, stainless steel, aluminum, aluminum alloy, and aluminum silicate workpieces. The right-hand cutting direction and standard spiral flute geometry make it compatible with conventional clockwise-rotating spindles. Machinists and tool and die professionals are the primary users of this bit in light manufacturing and precision drilling applications.
Designed for use in screw machine operations and drilling applications involving steel, stainless steel, aluminum, aluminum alloy, and aluminum silicate workpieces. Fits chucks accepting a straight-cylindrical shank of 3.00 millimeters in diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by machinists or qualified trade professionals familiar with rotating cutting tools. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before inserting or removing the bit from the chuck. Verify chuck size compatibility with the 3.00-millimeter shank diameter before seating the tool. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit; use external coolant or cutting fluid as required by the workpiece material and feed rate.
