The OSG 8594067 is a jobber-length twist drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from vanadium high speed steel and finished with a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating, it delivers extended tool life and improved wear resistance compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The bit measures 6.7 mm in diameter with an overall length of 101 mm and a flute length of 63 mm. The 120-degree split point uses an X-thinned web configuration that reduces thrust, improves self-centering, and minimizes walking at entry. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance mechanics are the typical users of this bit.
This drill bit is suited for blind hole drilling, cross hole drilling, through-hole drilling, and self-centering applications. It performs in steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, aluminum alloy, and aluminum silicate workpiece materials, covering ISO material groups P, M, K, and N. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet-style toolholders on benchtop drill presses, CNC machining centers, and handheld power tools. It is part of OSG Series 1800 and is rated for high-performance applications where chip evacuation and point stability are priorities.

Install in a properly rated drill chuck or collet and confirm shank seating before operation. Ensure spindle speed and feed rate are set to values appropriate for the workpiece material and drill diameter per standard machining practice. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit; apply cutting fluid externally when drilling stainless steel or hardened alloys to manage heat buildup. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace the bit if chipping or coating wear is evident.
