The OSG 8594064 is a jobber-length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in a wide range of metalworking applications. Manufactured from vanadium high speed steel and finished with a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating, this bit delivers extended tool life and reduced heat buildup compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The cutting geometry features a 120-degree point angle with X-thinned web configuration, which reduces thrust force and promotes self-centering on entry. At 6.40 mm in diameter with a 101.00 mm overall length and a 63.00 mm flute length, it fits standard drill chucks and CNC toolholders with a straight-cylindrical shank. Two spiral flutes with regular helix clear chips efficiently during operation. Do not use coolant-through setups with this bit, as it is not rated for internal coolant delivery. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use and replace the bit if edge condition is degraded to avoid oversized holes or workpiece damage.
