The OSG 8549812 is a 6-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous machining applications. It features a 12 mm cutting diameter, a 30 mm length of cut, and a 90 mm overall length. The micrograin carbide substrate paired with a DUROREY coating delivers wear resistance and thermal stability at elevated cutting speeds. A 43-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in job shop, production, or tool room environments.
This end mill suits vertical and horizontal milling operations requiring tight tolerances and clean square shoulders. It is well matched to finishing and semi-finishing passes in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials where coating performance is critical.
