The OSG 8331007 is a solid carbide helical flute thread mill designed for cutting M10x1.5 metric internal threads in a CNC machining environment. With a 7.70 mm cutting diameter and a 4-flute right-hand helical configuration, this tool generates thread profiles in a single helical interpolation pass. The EgiAs coating provides thermal and wear resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. A 24.00 mm length of cut accommodates a range of thread depths. The 8.00 mm shank diameter suits standard ER collet and hydraulic toolholding systems. Overall length is 85.00 mm. This tool is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals running 3-axis or 5-axis CNC machining centers.
The OSG 8331007 is suited for shops producing M10x1.5 threaded features in production or job-shop settings. Because a thread mill interpolates the full thread form in one tool, it is a practical choice when a single tool must cover multiple thread depths or when rigid tapping is not preferred. The right-hand flute direction and solid carbide construction make it appropriate for threading in steel, aluminum, stainless, and cast iron when used within the tool's recommended parameters. No coolant-through capability is present, so external coolant or cutting fluid application should be factored into the setup.

Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC thread milling cycles. Confirm the machine control supports helical interpolation before programming. Secure the shank firmly in a balanced, runout-minimized toolholder and verify tool projection before cutting. External cutting fluid or mist coolant is recommended since this tool does not feature coolant-through capability.
