The OSG 82107821 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling across a broad range of workpiece materials. It features a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 0.03 inch corner radius, and 4 helical flutes with a variable helix geometry that reduces harmonic chatter and improves surface finish. The overall length is 3.5 inches with a 7/8 inch length of cut and a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. The Duarise PVD coating provides elevated wear resistance and thermal stability. This is a centercutting, single-end tool suitable for both roughing and finishing operations. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators in production and job shop environments.
The OSG 82107821 is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its stub-length profile and variable helix make it particularly effective in applications where rigidity and chatter control are critical, such as finishing passes in deep pockets or contour milling on difficult-to-machine alloys. The corner radius geometry distributes cutting forces at the tool tip, extending tool life compared to sharp-corner end mills. This tool fits standard straight-bore toolholders with a 3/4 inch bore.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 3/4 inch shank diameter. Compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills set up for right-hand cutting direction.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. The tool should be secured in a precision toolholder with the shank engaged to the full recommended grip length to maximize rigidity. Confirm spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut against the applicable cutting data for the workpiece material before running. Inspect the toolholder bore for runout and contamination before clamping.
