The OSG 82106221 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling across a wide range of metallic workpiece materials. It carries a 5/8-inch cutting diameter with a 0.03-inch corner radius, a 3/4-inch length of cut, and a 3-inch overall length. The Duarise PVD coating provides enhanced wear resistance and heat management during aggressive cutting cycles. The variable helix geometry reduces harmonic chatter, making this tool suitable for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. Centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry. This tool is used by machinists and toolroom technicians in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
The OSG 82106221 is rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its stub length profile and straight-cylindrical shank make it well suited to close-tolerance work in tight-clearance fixtures. The single-end configuration and right-hand cut and flute direction are standard for conventional and climb milling operations. It seats in a standard toolholder and is appropriate for production environments where consistent edge geometry and surface finish are required across multiple material types.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 5/8-inch cylindrical shank. Compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills capable of running solid carbide end mills in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Part of the OSG Series 8210 product line.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or unloading the tool. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, particularly when working in tight-tolerance or hard-material applications.
