The OSG 82103421 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling across a wide range of workpiece materials. It features a 1/2 inch diameter, a 0.030 inch corner radius, and 4 flutes with a variable helix geometry that reduces chatter and improves surface finish during both roughing and finishing operations. The Duarise PVD coating provides enhanced wear resistance and heat protection. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 5/8 inch length of cut, this stub-length tool delivers rigidity for demanding applications in machining centers and CNC milling operations.
This end mill is suited for use in machine shops and manufacturing environments handling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its centercutting capability allows for direct plunge entry, making it versatile for slotting, profiling, and pocket milling operations. The straight cylindrical shank mates with standard toolholders. It is a single-end design from the OSG Series 8210 line.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 1/2 inch shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Part of the OSG Series 8210 end mill family.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tool-and-die professionals. Secure the shank fully into a compatible toolholder to the manufacturer-recommended gauge-line depth before tightening. Confirm runout is within acceptable limits before initiating a cut. Follow machine-shop safety protocols including proper RPM and feed rate selection based on workpiece material and depth of cut.
