The OSG 82101621 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. Built on OSG Series 8210, this single-end tool features a 3/8 inch diameter, a 0.045 inch corner radius, and four helical flutes with a variable helix geometry that reduces chatter and improves surface finish. The Duarise PVD coating adds wear resistance and heat tolerance, making this mill well suited for both roughing and finishing passes. It is center-cutting and runs in a right-hand flute direction with right-hand cutting. Machinists and CNC operators working in production shops and toolrooms are the primary installers of this tool.
This end mill is engineered for use across a broad range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The stub length profile — with a 1/2 inch length of cut and 2-1/2 inch overall length — provides rigidity in tight-clearance setups and is a practical choice for shallow profiling, slot milling, and contour work where a full-length reach is not required. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into standard toolholders.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per OSG Series 8210 application guidelines.
This tool is installed by machinists and CNC programmers into compatible toolholders on milling machines or machining centers. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the toolholder is properly torqued before initiating a cut. Confirm spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before running. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and OSG guidelines for appropriate feed rates, speeds, and depth of cut for the target workpiece material.
