The OSG 82004821 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metal, composite, and hard-material applications. Part of OSG's Series 8200, it features a 0.1094-inch (7/64 inch) mill diameter, a 0.164-inch length of cut, and a 0.125-inch (1/8 inch) shank diameter. The four-flute, straight-flute geometry combined with variable helix and variable index design helps reduce chatter and improve surface finish. The Duarise coating provides wear resistance for extended tool life. This end mill is center-cutting, allowing direct plunge entry, and is suited for finish and semi-finish milling passes at small diameters.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills for slot milling, profiling, and contour operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Its compact 0.1094-inch diameter makes it well suited for fine-feature work, tight-tolerance slots, and detailed die and mold work. The 2-inch overall length and regular-length classification keep it rigid in the cut, minimizing deflection at this diameter. Machinists working in aerospace, medical device, and precision tooling applications will find this size range a standard requirement in small-feature work.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard 1/8-inch collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring a 0.1094-inch cutting diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tool-change procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the 0.125-inch shank fully in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque to the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as runout has an outsized effect on tool life and surface finish at this diameter.
