The OSG 7813026 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for high-performance metal cutting in demanding machining environments. Carrying ANSI and ISO designation ZDKT11T308SR-GL, this parallelogram-style insert features a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, delivering strong oxidation resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. It offers 2 cutting edges, a positive rake geometry, and a chamfered and honed cutting edge style. With a maximum depth of cut of 0.0551 inches and a corner radius of 0.80 mm (1/32 inch), it is suited for finishing and semi-finishing operations. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working with stainless steel and steel workpieces are the primary installers.
This insert is intended for use in milling applications targeting stainless steel (ISO material code M) as the primary workpiece material and steel (ISO material code P) as the secondary. It is a right-hand insert designed for screw-held tooling systems. The GL chip breaker geometry supports chip control across a range of feed and depth conditions typical in production machining. It is a single-sided insert, so all cutting edges are on one face.
Designed for use with OSG 78PSE cutter series toolholders. Insert size code is 11T308. Verify cutter body compatibility with the 78PSE series before ordering.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the insert pocket for debris or damage before seating the new insert to ensure proper contact and runout.
