The OSG 70200516 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 3/32 inch (0.0938 inch) cutting diameter and a 3/8 inch length of cut, this end mill handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in tight spaces and small-feature work. The 1/8 inch shank diameter and 1-3/4 inch overall length make it well suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills where compact tooling is required. A diamond finish coating and 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and surface quality in finish passes. Installed by machinists and tool and die professionals, this tool is a single-end, right-hand cut design in the OSG Series 7020.
This end mill is appropriate for light to moderate material removal on small-scale features in ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The stub length configuration keeps deflection low, which is critical when maintaining tight tolerances on small diameters. Its spiral flute geometry and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional and climb milling setups on CNC and manual equipment. The 0.0880 inch neck diameter provides clearance relief behind the cutting zone for applications requiring reach into pockets or stepped features.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 1/8 inch straight shank, within the OSG Series 7020 end mill family.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists using an appropriate collet or end mill holder rated for a 1/8 inch shank. Confirm spindle runout is within acceptable limits before use, as small-diameter carbide end mills are sensitive to runout and can fracture under eccentric loading. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Because this end mill is not center-cutting, do not plunge directly into solid material — use a ramping or helical entry strategy or pre-drill the entry point.
