The OSG 655043712 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for deep-hole drilling applications in demanding production environments. Built to Series 6550 specifications, it features a 7/16 inch (0.4375 inch) diameter, a 140-degree drill point angle, and an EgiAs coating finish that enhances wear resistance and lubricity at the cutting edge. The flute length measures approximately 13.78 inches (350 mm) and the overall length is approximately 15.75 inches (400 mm), making this bit suited for reaching depth-to-diameter ratios up to 30xD. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and heat management during extended cuts. Right-hand cutting direction and X-thinned web geometry reduce entry thrust and improve penetration rates in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This drill bit is used in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and horizontal boring setups where standard-length tooling cannot reach required depths.
