The OSG 62600 is a jobber-length twist drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built from vanadium high speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers extended tool life and reduced friction at the cutting edge. The bit measures 10 mm in diameter with a 120-degree drill point angle and an S-thinned point geometry that improves self-centering and reduces thrust force at entry. Overall length is 137 mm with an 87 mm flute length. The straight-cylindrical shank accepts standard drill chucks. This bit is suited for machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians working with production or job-site drilling setups.
The OSG 62600 is rated for drilling into steel, stainless steel, aluminum, aluminum alloy, and aluminum silicate. Typical applications include blind hole drilling, cross hole drilling, through drilling, and self-centering operations. The two-flute regular spiral design promotes chip evacuation in these materials. It is a solid choice for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held power drill applications where consistent hole quality and diameter tolerance control are required. Diameter tolerance is held to plus 0 to minus 0.022 mm, supporting close-fit hole requirements without reaming in many standard applications.
Designed for use in standard jobber-length drill chuck setups on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and power drills. Rated for primary workpiece material codes P, M, and N covering steel, stainless steel, and aluminum families per ISO material classification.
This bit is installed and serviced by machinists and maintenance technicians. Secure the shank fully in the drill chuck or collet before operation and verify runout before starting a cut. Always power down and de-energize the machine spindle before changing bits. Do not exceed the recommended speed and feed range for the workpiece material and bit diameter to avoid premature coating wear or tip failure.
