The OSG 62535 is a jobber-length twist drill bit designed for precise, high-performance drilling in metal and alloy workpieces. Built from Vanadium High Speed Steel (VHSS) with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers extended tool life and reduced friction in demanding production and maintenance environments. The 130-degree split point (S-thinned web) eliminates the need for a center punch on most metals, improving hole accuracy and reducing thrust. At 3.5 mm in diameter with a 71 mm overall length and a 39 mm flute length, it fits standard drill chucks and CNC toolholders with a 4 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Machinists, maintenance technicians, and fabricators use this bit for blind holes, cross holes, and self-centering applications.
The OSG 62535 is suited for drilling steel, stainless steel, aluminum, aluminum alloys, and aluminum silicate. It is commonly used in light manufacturing, metal fabrication shops, and field maintenance work. The regular spiral flute geometry handles general-purpose through-hole and blind-hole drilling efficiently. The two-flute design promotes chip evacuation in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This bit is part of OSG Series 1600, a high-performance jobber-length line intended for production use where dimensional accuracy and coating durability are priorities.
Designed for drilling steel, stainless steel, aluminum, aluminum alloy, and aluminum silicate workpieces. Part of OSG Series 1600, sized within the 3.00 to 4.00 mm jobber drill range. Compatible with any standard drill chuck or collet accepting a 4 mm straight shank.
Install and remove drill bits only with the drilling machine powered off and, for CNC applications, in a safe, locked-out state. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet to the recommended grip depth before operation. Inspect the cutting edges and TiN coating for wear or chipping before each use, as a damaged edge will affect hole tolerance and surface finish. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit; apply external cutting fluid as appropriate for the workpiece material and feed rate.
