The OSG 6152411 is a screw machine length (stub) drill bit designed for precision drilling in metal fabrication, machining, and maintenance applications. Built from high speed steel with a TiAlN coating, it offers improved heat and wear resistance over uncoated bits. The 130-degree four-facet point geometry reduces walking and improves chip evacuation at entry, making it well suited for production drilling in steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and aluminum alloys. At 0.0945 inches (2.40 mm) in diameter, this bit fits standard chucks and CNC toolholders with a 3.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. It is part of OSG Series 1100 and carries a right-hand cut with a fast spiral flute configuration.
This drill bit is intended for use in screw machine setups, CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held power tools where a shorter stub-length bit provides added rigidity. The reduced length compared to jobber-length bits minimizes deflection in tight setups and high-feed operations. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, aluminum, aluminum alloy, and aluminum silicate. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and production floor operators are the typical end users. The TiAlN finish extends tool life in dry or near-dry cutting conditions common in modern CNC operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or production drill bit for use in screw machines, CNC machining centers, and drill presses where a 0.0945 inch diameter, straight-cylindrical shank stub drill is specified. Compatible with primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, aluminum alloy, and aluminum silicate as stated in OSG Series 1100 specifications.
This bit is installed and serviced by machinists and CNC technicians. Confirm chuck or collet capacity matches the 3.00 mm shank diameter before seating. Power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling. Do not exceed the recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material, and inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use to avoid workpiece damage or bit breakage.
