The OSG 5827500 is a double-end, square-profile cobalt end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers excellent heat and wear resistance compared to standard HSS tooling. The cutter measures 0.0984 inches in diameter with a 9/32-inch (0.2813-inch) length of cut and a 3/16-inch shank diameter, making it well-suited for fine-detail slot milling, profiling, and step cutting in small-bore work. The 30-degree spiral helix and centercutting geometry allow for plunge entries and smooth chip evacuation in tight workspaces. Machinists and toolroom operators install this end mill in manual knee mills, CNC machining centers, and precision drilling setups.
The OSG 5827500 is used in general-purpose metalworking environments where small-diameter, high-accuracy cutting is required. Its double-end design provides a second cutting edge when the first end reaches the end of its service life, extending tool utilization.
