The OSG 5821300 is a cobalt square end mill designed for material removal in milling applications across a range of metals and alloys. With a 0.5512-inch cutting diameter and a 1.125-inch length of cut, this tool delivers consistent performance in roughing and finishing passes. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, the 5821300 handles higher heat and hardness than standard HSS tooling. The 2-flute configuration with a 30-degree spiral helix promotes chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Centercutting geometry allows plunge milling as well as peripheral cuts. This tool ships uncoated and is suited for machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on manual or CNC milling machines.
The OSG 5821300 is appropriate for general-purpose milling in job shops, maintenance shops, and production environments. Its regular-length profile and 0.625-inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard milling chucks, collet holders, and end mill adapters. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation follow conventional milling spindle direction. With a double-end configuration, the tool offers two usable cutting ends, extending tool life between replacements. This end mill is a practical choice for slotting, profiling, and plunge cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
