The OSG 5740808 is a square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from 3% vanadium high speed steel with a TiCN coating, it delivers improved wear resistance and heat tolerance compared to standard HSS tooling. The cutter features a 11/32 inch (0.3438 inch) diameter, a 3/4 inch length of cut, and a 4-flute spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle. Centercutting capability allows the tool to plunge directly into the workpiece. It is a single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration in the OSG Series 574 lineup, suitable for CNC machining centers and manual mills.

This end mill is used in production and job-shop environments for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling.
