The OSG 5730700 is a 2-flute square end mill designed for general-purpose milling in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from 3% vanadium high speed steel, it delivers solid wear resistance and edge retention compared to standard M2 HSS tooling. The cutter measures 5/16 inch in diameter with a 9/16 inch length of cut and a 3/8 inch shank diameter, giving it a compact, rigid profile suited to light roughing and finishing passes. A 30-degree helix spiral flute promotes efficient chip evacuation. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole, adding flexibility in machining setups.
