The OSG 5730100 is a square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in machine shops and production environments. Built from 3% vanadium high speed steel, it delivers good wear resistance and edge retention across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 1/8 inch cutting diameter pairs with a 3/8 inch shank, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 2-5/16 inch overall length. Two spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote chip evacuation and reduce cutting forces. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, making it suitable for slot milling, profile work, and light pocket milling without a pre-drilled start hole.

This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual mills equipped with a collet or end mill holder sized for a 3/8 inch shank. The regular-length configuration and small 1/8 inch diameter make it well suited for finishing passes, narrow slot cutting, detail work, and engraving-style profiles in steel, aluminum, brass, and plastics. Installation Notes
